This tale of two families forgiving past wounds and starting anew is just the kind of heartwarming story at which Jacobs excels.

Family Connections

Since she became a widow, her two daughters are making too many demands of her for babysitting till she hardly has time for herself. It’s time she did something more exciting with her life. Although she’s never left Australia before, she decides to travel to England to the place her father came from.

At her home near Blackpool, Peggy Wilkes wakes every day to verbal abuse from her bullying husband. She too has decided that the time has come to make a new start.

And when Brad Rosenberry takes early retirement, it’s not to take things easy, but to travel and have a few adventures. Only a surprise letter from England makes him head there first of all.

As these people embark on their personal voyages of self-discovery, they make new friends and forge bonds which will reinforce for them all the value of family connections.
